Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and professional individual to serve as a Front Desk Receptionist/Security Personnel. This role is ideal for someone who is friendly and detail-oriented, with a strong sense of responsibility and a commitment to customer service and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet all customers, verify valid ID (21+), and manage check-in procedures.
- Ensure only authorized individuals enter the dispensary sales floor.
- Monitor entrance, lobby, and surrounding areas for any suspicious activity.
- Answer phone calls and respond to general inquiries professionally.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk and waiting area.
- Assist with visitor and vendor check-in and access.
- De-escalate any disruptive situations with a calm, professional demeanor.
- Maintain detailed logs and incident reports when needed.
- Enforce all dispensary policies and state compliance regulations.
- Support emergency procedures including evacuations or medical events.
- Work collaboratively with team members and management.
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in security, front desk, or customer service preferred.
- Valid NJ Security Officer Registration Act (SORA) license strongly preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Cannabis dispensary or regulated industry experience is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and remain alert.
- Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
